3. Context

The Context of the verse within the passage...

The Context of the passage within its book...

The Context of the previous two within the Bible itself...

It may sound rudimentary, but most of the mistakes I have seen from people attempting to interpret the Scriptures comes from not following these simple rules...

And please don't forget what the Bible says about itself...it is not a collection of books written by various authors over 1500 plus years...it is one book written by one author and needs to be read as such...
